It looks like a beautiful weekend to get out and enjoy the Annual Orchid Show which will be held at Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion in Canandaigua, NY this weekend.
Diverse varieties of orchids for viewing or sale
In Sonenberg’s Lord and Burnham Greenhouse Complex you can find all types of exotic orchids, including the beautiful Cattleyas and Cymbidiums, the lovely Dendrobiums, the pretty Phalaenopsis, Paphiopedilums and many more. You’ll also find many varieties for sale in the greenhouse.
At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Joe Kunisch of Bloomfield Orchids will speak on orchid care. At 2 p.m. on Sunday, Alan Salzman of Salzman Orchids will present a lecture on the varieties of orchids that make good houseplants. These experts, plus Fran Murphy of Rochester will be available to consult with visitors on questions about orchids.
In addition to the show, guests may enjoy tasting 3 wine selections Sonnenberg’s gift shop for only $1.
Sonenberg Gardens and Mansion
The Orchid show takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and admission is $5 per person.
Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion is located at 151 Charlotte Street in Canandaigua, NY in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes.
