This year is Rochester’s 175th Anniversary and the Rochester River Romance Weekend will be more exciting than ever! Festivities begin Friday October 9 and extend through Sunday. There will be more than 40 activities to enjoy! Renew your Vows on the Pont de Rennes Bridge overlooking the High Falls; take a haunted gorge tour; Fish for salmon below the Lower Falls climb the tower of an 1822 vintage lighthouse; Take a romantic cruise on the Mary Jemison or the paddle-wheeled Harbor Town Belle; Enjoy a poetry reading and so much more! Some of the other activities include historic walking tours, bicycle treks, boat rides and races, nature walks, concerts and lakeside family fun, plus horticultural workshops and festivities all along the river corridor.

The Mambo Kings – 4:30 PM-6:30 PM Join Rochester’s favorite latin group at Granite Mills in the High Falls Brown’s Race Historic District. Rain location: The Center at High Falls.
Renewal of Vows – 7PM-7:30PM Renew your vows on the Pont de Rennes Bridge in the High Falls Brown’s Race Historic District as your stunning backdrop.
Laser & Light Show 7:30PM-8:15PM
Although the opening events listed above all take place in Rochester’s High Falls Brown’s Race District, there are loads of fun activities all along the Genesee River, so be sure to check the schedule.
Many of these activities will be free to the public. If there is a charge, the fee will be indicated in the brochure.
