Don’t be afraid if, this dark and windy weekend, you find ghostly apparitions lurking on porches in historic Arnold Park in Rochester, NY. It’s just the Landmark Society’s annual Halloween Ghost Walk. This spooky, but fun event explores Rochester’s shady past. Based on historical facts and legends, costumed actors bring tales of mystery and intrigue to life!
Join lantern bearing guides on October 22, October 23, October 29 or October 30 at the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, 597 East Avenue, Rochester, NY. Tours depart every 10 minutes from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Advance tickets are $15 ($10 for Landmark Society members) If available, day-of-event tickets are $18. Tickets may be ordered by calling 546-7029 x10 or by coming into The Landmark Society offices at 133 S. Fitzhugh Street. Groups of 6 or more can reserve specific tour times by calling 546-7029 x15. Cindy Boyer, author of Ghost Walk: Chilling Tales from Rochester NY’s Past (a collection of the best stories from the first 10 years of Ghost Walk performances) will be on-hand to sign copies of her book which explores such questions as what was the real cause of Sam Patch’s death and whether Jack the Ripper was really a Rochester native!
