One of the best ways to get out and see a new city is to take a walking tour. Whether you’re a visitor to Rochester or a native, you’ll enjoy the self-guided walking tours of Downtown Rochester and several of its neighborhoods provided courtesy of the Landmark Society.

A View of the High Falls/Historic Brown

With dozens of self-guided walking and driving tours to choose from, you might have a hard time deciding!  I admit to having discovered these fairly recently so I’ve only taken a few.  One of my favorites is the High Falls/Historic Brown’s Race walking tour, but I’ve also enjoyed the tour of the Corn Hill neighborhood.  This is the historic neighborhood where the Corn Hill Arts Festival takes place annually drawing over a quarter of a million visitors to attend this annual juried art show.

By the way, I noticed when visiting the Corn Hill neighborhood’s website that they host a Holiday Tour of Homes which is scheduled for December 6th this year.  For more information on the Holiday tour and to purchase tickets, CLICK HERE.
